Me in a nutshell

I am a 36 year-old stay home mom of three children.  My 12 yr old son has classic autism. He is very active, he never stops moving, he is a constant elopement risk, high energy, has no concept of danger, and is still pretty much non-verbal, but we are making huge strides lately with talking and communicating.  He keeps me on my toes and needs constant supervision. My 14 yr old daughter is typically developing and your typical teenager. And I have another daughter, she is 3 and typically developing, and she completes my three ring circus.  I also have a husband, two dogs and two cats.

And that’s my funny farm in a nutshell.  I appreciate the community and support I get online because I don’t have much real life support or sense of belonging to my community.  We kind of stand out as odd balls anywhere we go.  But that’s okay, I don’t really like people anyway.  I think they are the oddballs. Thank you for stopping by my blog, I try to write a little in my two minutes of free time that I get a day. 🙂
